About the Candidate

Andrew Locke is a born and raised Hoosier, whose family planted their roots in their business on South Harding Street (SW Indianapolis) in 2002, within District 91 and neighbors to their alma mater— Center Grove (Greenwood), Indiana. The majority of his life has been spent in and around District 91, and he is looking forward to his opportunity to represent this community he loves.

After graduating Center Grove High School and attending Ivy Tech University for one year, he got accepted to Purdue at IUPUI. He participated in two internships with the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, where he gained a lot of knowledge in working with the public. After flying the coop, so to speak, in 2014, he decided to work with the family business, driving a box truck contracted with the U.S.P.S. He still proudly works there today, alongside of his dad.

Today, Andrew has his soulmate in his wife, Christine, and they share two beautiful children who have opened their eyes to how much this life is worth working and fighting for. He has always believed in a better Indiana for all; he stands for inclusion, women’s rights to healthcare, safety and equal rights for all.

Andrew is ready to hear you, work for you and to give all of Southwest Marion County the recognition that it deserves, for the undeniable potential our wonderful corner of Indianapolis has.

  • Sadly, Robert Behning has been in this seat since 1992!

    • Voter Referendum- Andrew is a staunch believer in allowing our citizens to have their say at the voter box and hold your elected officials accountable to the voters will.

    • Restore the medical rights of Hoosier women- Robert Behning voted to TAKE AWAY a woman's right to control her body and life. Children born today should have more freedoms and rights than we did growing up; not less.

    • As a policy matter, he is committed to not increasing taxes on working Hoosiers. Hoosier tax payers live here because of the low cost of living and he is committed to seeing that continue.

    • Proposing and working towards modern Cannabis legislation. Across the aisle and across the state Hoosiers agree- we are surrounded by legalized cannabis and he wants to see those tax dollars stay in the state, our black market weakened to protect our children, and a safe high quality experience for everyone.

  • Andrew has been living and working around this area his whole life; Andrew's tired of seeing his neighbors and friends taken advantage of! The I-69 project has come through our District (91) and completely reshaped it. Corporate interests don't have you and me in mind when they are changing our area. Andrew Locke does.

    While Robert Behning collects your tax dollars, destroys our public schools, and never so much as makes an appearance other than a postcard randomly in the mail; Andrew Locke is here raising 2 children, working endlessly for his family and for YOU, he wants to see you represented in this community. He has southside pride and he is not afraid to say it. He has lived it and will continue to live it and work to better it every day alongside of you.
